I also like to collect Teddy Bears.  I don't think there is
anything sweeter than seeing a baby hug on a cuddly
teddy bear.

My very first beloved teddy bear was from my first
husband.  He gave me a bear to cuddle with while he
was working nights.  We named him "Fred" for some
odd reason.  And, of course, our son was named Theodore,
and we called him Teddy when he was little.  Now
that he is almost a grown man, I call him "Ted".

My favorite bears to collect are from Cherished Teddies.

I've never tried making an actual teddy bear,
although I did buy a couple of books on how to do it.
I think I was a little intimidated by the process.
I do enjoy doing counted cross stitch bears.

"There's just something about a Teddy bear that's impossible to explain.  When you hold one in your arms,
you get a feeling of love, comfort and security.
It's almost supernatural."
– James Ownby
